Suburbicon is a peaceful, idyllic suburban community with affordable homes and manicured lawns… the perfect place to raise a family, and in the summer of 1959, the Lodge family is doing just that. But the tranquil surface masks a disturbing reality, as husband and father Gardner Lodge is hatching a dastardly plot to rid himself of his wife and claim the insurance while his new African American neighbors are the object of a vicious town-wide hate campaign. It’s a confusing summer for Gardner’s plucky son Nicky who must navigate the treachery of his family and his town.
