Born in 1973 in Hong Kong, Pang Ho-cheung is a cross-media creator who is not only a film director, but also a prolific author, screenwriter, executive producer, actor, radio and television host, editor, photographer as well as installation artist.
With his directorial debut You Shoot, I Shoot, Pang has since directed a total of fourteen feature films which have claimed numerous prestigious awards worldwide. These include Best New Director for Men Suddenly in Black and Best Screenwriter for Love in a Puff at the Hong Kong Film Awards; Best Debut Director for You Shoot, I Shoot at the HKSAR 10th Anniversary Film Awards; Best Film Orient Express Award and Best Feature Film for Isabella at the 27th Oporto International Film Festival and 4th World Film Festival of Bangkok, respectively; Mad Movie Award for Dream Home at the 10th Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival in Switzerland; and the NETPAC Award for Vulgaria at the 16th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival. Most recently in 2017, the final installment of the Love in a Puff trilogy, Love Off the Cuff, has recorded a total of over 200 million RMB in worldwide box office in just three weeks upon its release.
In recent years, Pang has also been partnering with filmmakers around the world. As producer, Pang’s credits include the Singaporean drama film Apprentice, and several Hollywood productions such as Border Crossing, Never Here and Dismissed.
